Club Med is set to redefine South Africa’s hospitality landscape with Club Med Tinley, the nation’s inaugural Club Med resort, offering a unique blend of beach and safari experiences.
This ground breaking project, developed in collaboration with the Collins Residential Consortium, is set to create over 800 direct jobs and 1,500 indirect jobs, bolstering the local economy. With a total investment exceeding R2bn and construction expected to begin in early 2024, Club Med Tinley aims for a July 2026 opening.
Club Med Tinley prioritises sustainability by pursuing eco-certification and implementing initiatives like “Bye Bye Plastics” and food waste reduction. It also partners with Agrisud to support local businesses in the resort’s supply chain.
Located on the beautiful Dolphin Coast in KwaZulu-Natal, Club Med Tinley offers relaxing beach and adventurous bush experiences, catering to both local and international travellers via the nearby King Shaka International Airport. The resort promises panoramic views, surf-inspired lifestyles, art, local culture, and safari adventures.
The interiors, entertainment and food and beverages are all inspired by the location, climate, and cultures of Southern Africa.
Guests can enjoy premium rooms, kids’ clubs, diverse land and water activities, a wellness centre, spa, fitness classes, and a variety of dining and entertainment options. Additionally, an 80-room lodge at a nearby Big-5 Game Reserve complements the beach experience, offering a unique dual vacation opportunity.
