To avoid inconvenience and accommodate commuters during the construction phase, a temporary taxi rank has been established in the parking area along Bradford Road near Entrance 6. This area will be clearly signposted to ensure a seamless transition for staff, customers and visitors to the temporary area.
Eastgate has collaborated closely with the taxi associations to keep passengers informed and minimize inconvenience during this period.
“This upgrade represents our commitment to providing the best possible experience for everyone who visits Eastgate. We appreciate the patience and understanding of our commuters as we work to create a more efficient and user-friendly transport hub,” says Saadiyah Kahn, General Manager at Eastgate.
Improved facilities in late 2025
Eastgate Shopping Centre remains committed to creating a seamless experience for all its visitors and looks forward to unveiling the improved facilities later in 2025.
As one of the largest shopping centres in Johannesburg, Eastgate has over 200 retailers including local and international brands, numerous dining options, a multiplex cinema, a go-kart track and various other lifestyle attractions.
