La Récolte Retirement Village launches final phase of development

La Récolte Retirement Village, a luxury estate situated in Stellenberg in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town, has launched Block D, the final phase of the development. The development’s completed Blocks A and B are sold out, with Assisted Living suites in Block C still available for purchase or rent.

Jessica Kolver-Louw, property sales agent for the C4 Property Group, says: “The estate offers the perfect mix of tranquil living and city amenities, plus a wide range of services to choose from.”

Other amenities on the estate include the modern Care Centre, which offers advanced facilities and 24-hour moderate to complete care. The Clubhouse boasts a variety of amenities such as a state-of-the-art industrial kitchen and catering services, a gym, library, beauty salon, stacking doors to view the spectacular, ever-changing mountains and outdoor braai-area. These facilities are open to all residents and their guests.

According to Kolver-Louw, the development’s excellent location plays a huge role in its success. “It’s situated close to Tyger Valley Shopping Centre, Willowbridge, the Durbanville Winelands, acclaimed Welgemoed golf course, hospitals and clinics, as well as the N1 freeway. Our more than 150 residents in Blocks A, B and C enjoy their new homes and the simplicity of a relaxed, lock-up-and-go lifestyle.”

Block D will offer seven unit types, ranging from one bedroomed to two bedroomed apartments. Each unit will be fitted with floor to ceiling tiles in the bathroom, open-plan kitchen equipped with a Defy oven, hob and extractor fan, living room, balcony, and granite top kitchen counters. Block D units will have allocated basement parking at no extra cost and the basement will also offer a laundry room for washing and drying.

The development group’s managing director, Jaco Steyn of Steyter Construction, adds that La Récolte suits the varied requirements of retirees. “It offers three very important benefits – location, security and comfort. We’re one of very few developments where we can honestly say that it’s your retirement on your terms. All services such as house cleaning, catering, nursing and garden services can be arranged to suit your lifestyle and budget. Furthermore, we pride ourselves on the fact that our units are spacious compared to other developments. We offer a comprehensive product at an affordable rate.”

Steyn concludes: “Located in an established and safe neighbourhood, it’s the ideal retirement option for anyone over the age of 50. You can still lead an active lifestyle with every comfort and convenience you need, whilst being close to city amenities and entertainment. You can spend your golden years any way you want, with the knowledge that you can lock-up-and-go when you’re off on new adventures.”

Block D will sell from R1 695 000 for a one-bedroomed apartment (60 to 73m2) to R2 985 000 (75m2 to 100m2) for a spacious two bedroomed apartment. Buyers can choose between pre-selected contemporary finishes. The developers will offer a special discount to investors buying more than five units, offering a tax advantage according to Section 13 of the Income Tax Act.

Each apartment boasts emergency nurse-call panic button, 24-hour security with CCTV cameras, electric fencing and manned access-controlled gates, DStv connectivity, Fibre Internet, access to caring nursing staff and quality medical care, daily meals, landscaped gardens, laundry facilities and services, as well as affordable, stable levies. Another benefit is that each unit has a Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) telephone enabling residents to contact each other and the relevant services on site, free of charge.
