The municipality of eThekwini is investing billions of Rands of investment in development projects. One of these is the Giba Business Estate in the outer west.
At a recent site visit to view 16 sites where future developments will be taking place, eThekwini Mayor Cyril Xaba said that, “these catalytic projects act to boost investment and business confidence in eThekwini. It will have a major impact on the economy of the city and the KwaZulu-Natal region as a whole, creating thousands of jobs and boosting the city’s rates base.”
The specific Giba Business Estate is a R2 billion development targeted to further unlock the light industry, logistics and warehousing sectors of the economy, while providing work opportunities and improved infrastructure for the communities of Tshelimnyama and neighbouring areas.
It’s located within the eThekwini Municipality boundary, along the arterial N3 route adjacent to Westmead Industrial Estate, making it a strategically valuable and unique development that presents excellent opportunities for growth and return.
The project is expected to develop 200,000 square meters of platformed sites of various sizes which are aimed for sale to the light industrial, warehousing and logistics sectors.
