Decorex Joburg, Africa’s leading decor and design platform, is gearing up to celebrate its momentous 30th anniversary. Following on the Cape Town expo, the four-day event will take place at the Sandton Convention Centre, offering a spectacular decor and design experience
It’s been three decades since Decorex Joburg made its debut on the decor and design scene, coinciding with South Africa’s historic first democratic general election in 1994. Over the years, the show has grown and maintained its status as Africa’s premier decor and design exhibition, attracting a total of over 1,3 million visitors and featuring more than 13,000 exhibitors.
To mark its milestone 30th anniversary, Decorex Joburg is set to deliver an unparalleled four-day experience from 3 to 6 August at the Sandton Convention Centre. The event will showcase the latest trends, curated displays, state-of-the-art designs, and new product releases, catering to all home, hospitality, and retail needs. In addition, the show will run alongside sister events Design Joburg and 100% Design Africa.

Kitchen design: Featuring over 60 leading brands in appliances, cabinetry, fixtures, and more, this section will showcase the latest trends and designs for the heart of the home. Local chefs will also host live cooking demonstrations, utilising cutting-edge appliances and sharing valuable cooking tips and recipes.
Beautiful bathrooms: Specialist bathroom suppliers will elevate bathroom design with standout fittings, contemporary fixtures, the latest tiles, and inspiring design ideas.
Decor & furniture: Interior design enthusiasts will find their paradise in the Decor Hall, with almost 70 brands showcasing a diverse range of offerings. From curtains, wallpaper, and couches to interior decorators, artists, and ceramicists, this hall will have it all. Visitors can also enjoy refreshments at the designer bars.
Plan & build inspiration: This hall will serve as a premier showcase of architectural, building, and fitting solutions. From doors, windows, blinds, shutters, roofing, and security options to smart home solutions, this section caters to renovators and builders.
Additionally, the Outdoor Living section will display braai rooms, landscapes, patios, porches, and a variety of exterior products and services.

Trade professionals are invited to engage with leading designers, entrepreneurs, retailers, and innovators at Decorex Joburg. The event offers specialised products and services targeting key decision-makers in the industry.
To kick off the festivities, Joburg Decor & Design Week, a city-wide programme of events tailored for the trade, will commence on 31 July. The week-long celebration culminates with Decorex Joburg as the grand finale.
