Circle Senior Living

A new luxury development catering to active seniors in urban areas has recently been introduced in Sandton, featuring penthouse-style residences that offer breathtaking views

Circle Senior Living, a new concept in residences for seniors, will soon offer upmarket apartments designed to create a sense of penthouse living in a hi-tech building that resembles a luxury boutique hotel rather than a traditional retirement home. The Sandown location is one of four lifestyle retirement estates that will be available in prime locations in Johannesburg and Cape Town.

MAKE MORE MEMORIES

Downscaling doesn’t mean minimising one’s lifestyle or losing connections built up over the years. That’s why Circle Senior Living is designed to cater to the needs of seniors who want to retire within a 5km radius of their current home.

Until recently, the greater Sandton area has had very little to offer retirees with facilities that are welcoming to themselves, family and friends, which allow them to keep socially and physically independent for as long as possible.

“We believe retirement should be another chapter in your life that brings you joy and something to look forward to,”  says Corene Breedt-Rammutla, CEO and co-founder of Circle Senior Living. “That’s why we offer a range of upmarket apartments that are both affordable and customisable in terms of design and price.

“Our building’s cutting-edge technology provides added security to buyers’ investment and allows residents to travel between cities with ease.”

Circle Living Facilities

SEVENTY IS THE NEW FIFTY

Says Michael Sieff, executive and co-founder of Circle Senior Living: “An active couple in their seventies don’t want to live in a home with visible handlebars and a chair in their shower, for example, but they will appreciate the finishes of fixtures, the interactive iPad and Smart TV, the tasteful decor in the communal areas and the quality of the food. As their health needs change, so will their home, with extras, such as the electric adjustable bed being installed, helping them to age gracefully when they need it.”

Circle Senior Living promotes a 360˚ balance, and the Sandown centre will have a lively community-driven calendar that promotes socialising in areas such as the yoga room, coffee shop, restaurant, pool, party venue and retail section, as well as wellness amenities such as a spa, book swap and onsite cinema.

Circle Care

FRIENDS AND FAMILY MATTER

A business hub and assistant concierge plus a children’s area and luxury lounges will be available to enjoy family time. These areas are also available for private booking to cater to private functions.

The medical team consists of a care manager, qualified registered nurses and caregivers that cater for what is traditionally known as independent, assisted, frail and memory care. “The Circle difference is that all the care takes place in your own home and your own physical needs are tailored for, using the Age-in-Place model,” says Sieff.

Situated on 9 Adrienne Street, Sandown, the 74 unit development will officially open Phase 1 in September 2023 with a variety of offerings from studio layouts to two-bedroom, two-bathroom plans. Prices range from R945,000 to R7.145m, with all residents having access to premium communal areas, amenities and services, medical and otherwise. “At Circle Senior Living, we believe retirement should be a time of joy, comfort and safety and we strive to offer just that,” says Breedt-Rammutla.
