A new retirement village in Ekurhuleni doesn’t only provide premium quality and care for residents but their furry friends are welcome too
Construction is well under way at the recently launched Ryn Village Retirement Estate in Benoni, where 14 of a total of 285 life right units have been sold, mainly to local residents securing their retirement accommodation.
The first phase consisting of 61 modern, premium quality units are close to or already completed including a boundary wall, inside roads on the estate, guardhouse and the ground floor for the clubhouse.

The price for a one-bedroom apartment is R862,920 and a two-bedroom apartment sells for R1,078 620 – both with lift access. Two and three-bedroom simplex homes with garages are priced from R1.299m and R1.655m respectively.
Ferreira says as you don’t take transfer in a life rights complex, there are no transfer duties or fees payable, and no VAT or bond registration costs.

Other amenities that make the estate especially popular is it’s pet-friendly policy and that residents can have guests stay for a maximum of 21 consecutive days.
The estate is run by an experienced and professional team, ensuring residents enjoy a sense of community, but with the freedom to socialise as and when they wish.
“Ryn Village also offers a wide range of activities including a clubhouse with a restaurant, coffee shop and library, indoor heated pool, business centre and communal gardens, plus there is a clinic with an onsite nurse and frail care facility,” says Ferreira. “Solar panels serve as back-up to the national grid with water tanks and a borehole catering for the landscaped and well-secured grounds.”
