On Saturday, 3 October 2026, Reefside Lifestyle & Leisure officially celebrated its public launch at Sibaya Coastal City on the KwaZulu-Natal North Coast, welcoming families and visitors from surrounding communities for a day of celebration and discovery.

The celebration gave visitors the opportunity to experience Reefside’s mix of dining, retail, design and leisure offerings, with East Coast Radio adding to the atmosphere through a live broadcast, music and entertainment throughout the day.
The official celebration followed Reefside’s first day of trading on Thursday, 1 October, as well as a pre-opening ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, 30 September.
The ribbon-cutting was attended by the Mayor of eThekwini, key stakeholders, partners and invited guests, marking an important milestone for the new destination and its role within the continued growth of Sibaya Coastal City. Saturday’s celebration marked the next chapter for Reefside, bringing the destination to life and showcasing its offering as a new retail and lifestyle destination within Sibaya Coastal City.
